# How to Record a Manual Visit

## Manual visits let you complete tasks without scanning by confirming a checkpoint visit.

If you aren’t able to scan barcodes in the field, you can still complete tasks by recording a manual visit. This feature is permission-based, so if you aren't allowed to use the option, contact your administrator.

1. Navigate through Customer → Division → Route → Zone to reach the **Checkpoint List**.
2. Tap on a checkpoint to open it in preview mode.
3. Once you attempt to complete an action that will generate a History record (complete a task, edit, record a discrepancy, etc.), a pop-up box will appear.
4. Press Record Manual Visit.

If the manual visit is recorded on a movable equipment, it is also simultaneously recorded for the associated location.
